Description

The Property Appraiser of Miami-Dade County is the chief executive of the Office of the Property Appraiser. The primary duties of this job include: identification and appraisal of all personal property within county limits, certification of the annual tax roll, maintaining property records, administering property exemptions, and providing property owners an annual assessment of property value. This position also requires regular correspondence with the Miami-Dade property owners, tax collector, county agencies, and the Florida department of Revenue, in addition to several other taxing authorities. The property appraiser serves a four-year term, with no limits on the number of terms served. Salary of this position is $167,567 per year.
