The Arizona Corporation Commission is a quasi-executive regulatory agency in the Arizona state government. The commission is Arizona's state regulatory body for non-municipal utility companies, including energy, heat, trash, water and communications firms. It also oversees the incorporation of businesses, securities regulation and railroad/pipeline safety.
Application Guidelines1) Contact the Arizona Secretary of State's office to confirm that your registered address qualifies you for the position you intend to run for, and that you meet other office specific qualifications. Inquire as to whether the position has a primary election before the general election. 2) Complete the required filing papers and submit the required filing papers to the Arizona Secretary of State's office. The filing papers must be accompanied by candidate nomination petitions. 3) Submit the required filing papers accompanied by candidate nomination petitions between 120 and 90 days prior to the primary election.
