Description

The duty of the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney is to seek justice on behalf of the people of the City and County of Honolulu. The department comprises about 100 deputy prosecutors and about 170 support staff, including paralegals, victim-witness advocates, investigators and clerical personnel.

Application Guidelines
1) Contact the Hawaii Office of Elections in order to confirm that your registered address qualifies you for the position you intend to run for and to confirm that you meet other office specific qualifications. Nomination papers are available online with more information at http://elections.hawaii.gov/candidates/candidate-filing/. 2) Complete the nomination papers including the signature requirements.The amount of signatures required varies between 15 and 25 by office. Additionally, there is an office specific filing fee. Filing fees can be reduced with a form known as an Affidavit of Compliance with Voluntary Campaign Spending Limits.
