Description

The Governor is the chief executive officer of the state. The governor has appointment duties over each state department. In addition to organizing the departments, the governor is also the commander-in-chief of the state's military forces (the National Guard and/or the state defense forces), which can be called out during natural disasters and the like. The Governor also has the power to veto any bill from the legislature and is the considered the chief negotiator of the state when accepting or receiving foreign dignitaries in areas such as trade. The Governor can also issue pardons and executive orders.
