Santa Clara Valley Water District Board Member, District 7

Description

The Board is comprised of seven members, each elected from equally divided districts to serve four-year terms. The purpose of the Board is to provide Silicon Valley safe, clean water for a healthy life, environment, and economy. They will also choose a member to serve as Board Chairman, Clerk, and in other positions of leadership.

Application Guidelines

To file for this position follow these three simple steps: 1) Contact the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters office to verify that your address qualifies for the position. If the county is unsure of the boundaries, you may then be directed to contact the Secretary or Clerk of the elected body that you are looking to run for. 2) Obtain the correct filing papers from the elections office you have been directed to. Election officials understand that first time or beginning candidates may need some more help in completing paperwork, so feel comfortable in asking any questions regarding the candidacy filing procedure. 3) Submit the filing papers within 113-88 days prior to the election. If these steps are followed and the paperwork submitted within the timeframe, you will appear on the ballot.
