The Mayor is elected at large for four year terms. The Mayor officially speaks for both the government and the community as a whole. The Mayor is the presiding officer and a regular member of the city council, and has all the powers and duties for the office of council member in addition to those of mayor. The yearly salary in Garden Grove for Mayor is $53,733.00.

Election deadlines are unforgiving and misunderstanding them will prevent you from appearing on the ballot.
