Description

The combined register of wills, recorder of deeds, prothonotary, and clerk of courts is responsible for county records and administration in multiple areas. This office maintains records related to land ownership in the county (recorder), administers estates for those without valid wills (register) and files and maintains court records, civil (prothonotary) and criminal (clerk of courts), .

Application Guidelines
If you would like to be included on the ballot for county office, follow these three steps. 1) Contact the county elections office. The elections office can provide information about the availability of filing papers and answer questions regarding nominating petitions and other ballot procedures. 2) Arrange to pick up required paperwork. 3) Return your completed paperwork within the designated filing window. The filing deadline shown is for third party and independent candidates. Major party candidates must meet earlier deadlines to participate in the primary.
