The public administrator is responsible for the estates of county residents who pass away when there is no other administrator. The public administrator investigates the availability of another administrator, estimates the value of the estate, and administers it according to state law.
Application GuidelinesIf you would like to be included on the ballot for county office, follow these three steps. 1) Contact the county election authority, usually the county clerk or elections board. The election authority can provide information about the availability of filing papers and answer questions regarding nominating petitions and other ballot procedures. 2) Arrange to pick up required paperwork. 3) Return your completed paperwork within the designated filing window. Party candidates will need to meet earlier deadlines to participate in the primary election.
