Description

The recorder holds and maintains county records—particularly those relating to real estate transactions and ownership. In some cases, the recorder may be responsible for additional public records or for levying taxes.

Application Guidelines
If you would like to be included on the ballot for county office, follow these three steps. 1) Contact the county elections board. The elections board can provide information about the availability of filing papers and answer questions regarding nominating petitions and other ballot procedures. 2) Arrange to pick up required paperwork. 3) Return your completed paperwork within the designated filing window. Filing deadline shown is for independent and minor party candidates. Major party and Libertarian candidates must meet earlier deadlines to participate in the primary election or county convention.
