The schools superintendent is responsible for education within the county, providing oversight and support to the schools within the district. Duties may include processing or auditing expenditures, educating students who are in detention or outside an organized school district, providing educational or professional development opportunities, and implementing state law. In Arizona, the schools superintendent also administrates school board and school bond elections.
Application GuidelinesIf you would like to be included on the ballot for county office, follow these three steps. 1) Contact the county elections officer. The elections officer can provide information about the availability of filing papers and answer questions regarding nominating petitions and other ballot procedures. 2) Arrange to pick up required paperwork. 3) Return your completed paperwork within the designated filing window.
