Description

The Arizona State Mine Inspector is responsible for inspecting mining operations and securing abandoned mines. The inspector's office has the authority to enter mines at any time and inspect for safety violations. The Arizona State Mine Inspector is limited to four consecutive terms in office, however, after one full term out of office they can run again.

Application Guidelines
1) Contact the Arizona Secretary of State's office to confirm that your registered address qualifies you for the position you intend to run for, and that you meet other office specific qualifications. Inquire as to whether the position has a primary election before the general election. 2) Complete the required filing papers and submit the required filing papers to the Arizona Secretary of State's office. The filing papers must be accompanied by candidate nomination petitions. 3) Submit the required filing papers accompanied by candidate nomination petitions between 120 and 90 days prior to the primary election.
