Description
The Treasurer of South Carolina is an elected executive position in the South Carolina state government. As the state's chief banking officer, the treasurer is responsible for the investment, cash management and safekeeping of South Carolina's general and restricted funds. The treasurer is a member of the following state boards and commissions: State Budget & Control Board, South Carolina Retirement System Investment Commission, State Board of Financial Institutions, South Carolina Tobacco Authority, South Carolina Education Authority. The salary for this position is $92,007/year.

If you plan to run as a partisan candidate please contact your local party office for further instructions. 3) Submit the filing paperwork with the stipulated amount of signatures to your local county election office if you live in a single county district or to the South Carolina State Election Commission if you live in a multi-county district. The amount of petition signatures varies by office. The petition papers are due at noon July 15th (if July 15th falls on a Sunday, the petition papers are due the following Monday at noon).
